Melbourne Day Regatta 11am Sunday 26 August August 15 2012, 0 Comments

First held 170 years ago, the Melbourne Day Regatta returns in 2012. Victoria Harbour will come alive on Sunday 26 August 2012 with a flotilla of vessels to launch the Melbourne Day week of celebrations with the Official Welcome, Blessing of the Fleet, Cheers! Melbourne and a Sail Past.

Melbourne Passenger Boating invites the public to board their vessels for free from 11am and participate in the festivities from the water.

The Melbourne Day Regatta welcomes the replica schooner Enterprize (the boat the first European settlers arrived on in 1835), to lead the Sail Past and perform a re-enactment of the first arrival.

No bookings required, however patrons are asked to be ready to board vessels by 11am at participating berths at Victoria Harbour, Docklands. Berth listings will be available closer to the time on this site.

* Please note patrons are invited to donate a gold coin to the boats chosen charity in appreciation of their cruise

Proudly brought you by the Melbourne Passenger Boating Association.
