This limited-edition scented candle blends warm and invigorating notes of pink grapefruit and blood orange, and is hand-poured in Melbourne. Encased in a collectible tin vessel, Kleins candles are perfect for travel, as housewarming gifts, or to add character and a sense of hospitality to any room. Our staff recommend simply leaving these candles open on a counter - unlit - to give the whole room a fragrant lift!
Each Kleins candle has a burn time of up to 24 hours, and uses a natural soy wax blend.
Kleins began as one of Australia's first dedicated perfumeries on Brunswick Street in bohemian Fitzroy. Almost twenty five years later, founder Andrea Birnie took her insight and experience and - working in close collaboration with the Rennie Ellis Archive - launched Kleins' own range of body-care products.
The images of 1970s, 80s, and 90s Australia, as captured through the lens of Rennie Ellis (1940 – 2003), are widely regarded as seminal portraits of a country exploring its wilder self. Ellis himself was interested in the offbeat and in the freedom of Australia in these times. Through his photography, Ellis explored a myriad of subcultures, documenting intriguing characters and a different time in history.
Kleins' Rennie Ellis series combines a proudly Australian made product with a proudly Australian talent, taking the audacious, sexy and often shocking photography of Melbourne's most famous social photographer, Rennie Ellis, as its inspiration.
This Pink Grapefruit + Blood Orange Soy Candle features Rennie Ellis' photograph '1967 Australian Championships' - Bells Beach, 1967'.
