Melbournalia's own custom loose leaf teas have been crafted exclusively for us by the Yarra Valley Tea Co. These three blends are made from the finest local and organic ingredients*, and are packaged in attractive reusable and recyclable Kraft cylinders.
Every Melbourne Tea Pack contains all three of our house blends:
- 'Melbourne W Class' Black tea - a delicate 'French Early Grey' style of tea,
- 'Wominjeka Welcome' a green tea with lemon myrtle - gorgeous whether served hot or chilled for a divine summer refresher,
- 'Melbourne Woollies' herbal blend to warm up chilly evenings with a combination of lemongrass, ginger, and a hint of real apple.
'Melbourne W-Class' Black Tea 50g:
Melbourne's iconic W-Class trams (affectionately known as 'Green Rattlers') have been classified by the National Trust. They are still on the City Circle tourist route.
Australian Black Daintree Tea, Organic Rose Petal, Organic Calendula, Organic Cornflower, Made in the Yarra Valley from 97 percent Australian ingredients.
'Wominjeka Welcome' Lemon Myrtle and Green Tea 50g:
Wominjeka means 'welcome' in the language of the Wurundjeri people, who are the Traditional Custodians of Melbourne and its surrounding lands.
Organic Australian-grown Sencha, Organic Australian Lemon Myrtle. Made in the Yarra Valley from 100 percent Australian ingredients.
'Melbourne Woollies' Lemongrass, Ginger and Apple Tea 50g:
Most Melburnians have a wardrobe full of winter woollies. Scarves and beanies often also announce the wearer's proud allegiance to a local football team.
Organic Lemongrass, Organic Ginger, Biodynamic Australian Apple. Made in the Yarra Valley from 20 percent Australian ingredients.
*We strive to represent Melbourne, Victoria and Australia as much as possible! Some of our tea blends do use small amounts of imported ingredients to maintain a high quality.
