The facade of Flinders Street Station has been the meeting place of Melburnians for more than a century. With its iron and glass arched window and heritage listed clocks Flinders Street Station has become an iconic Melbourne landmark. Designed by Helena Harry exclusively for Melbournalia this tea towel celebrating our favourite place for reunions and rendezvous is a perfect Melbourne souvenir!

You’ll find your linen tea towel quite stiff at first. This is what makes it great for printing. It will soften after a few washes, and it may shrink a little. Linen’s absorbency improves over time. Best of all, it doesn’t leave pills on your glassware or cutlery!

For best results, wash your tea towel in a cold cycle on your machine with other similar coloured items. It’ll wrinkle in the wash, so gently pull it back in to shape before hanging it to dry on the clothesline. Iron on the reverse side of the print with a warm iron. Don’t tumble dry or dry clean.

Designer Helena Harry studied fine art at Melbourne's VCA before moving to Europe where she trained and began a successful international career in architecture. Today she continues her architectural and design practice from Melbourne. These classic tea towels focus on the iconic architecture, culture and design of our favourite city. Made for Melbournalia.
