The Koorie Circle’s “The Greens" Aboriginal Waterway Earrings represent the Yarra and Darebin Rivers (waterways) in the Northcote electorate in Victoria. These earrings were inspired by Lidia Thorpe - the Greens candidate for Northcote, the first Aboriginal woman to be elected to Parliament in Victoria, and the cousin of The Koorie Circle founder Laura Thompson.

The Waterway earrings are perfect for every day in the office.

The Koorie Circle uses traditional Aboriginal symbols to highlight the connections between Indigenous Australian people and communities, creating contemporary Aboriginal-designed and inspired jewellery made from sustainable sourced timber.

Laura Thompson is a Gunditjmara woman and artist living and working in Melbourne. She developed The Koorie Circle from a desire to make pieces that tell a story, celebrating the culture, history and identity of Aboriginal Australia. Painted and finished by hand, each piece bears the mark of its maker and is made to be worn with pride.

Based in Northcote, Melbourne on Wurundjeri land.

Material(s): Acrylic and surgical steel hooks.

Dimensions (cm): 4.5 (diameter) x 0.15 (depth)

* The Koorie Circle is a registered Australian Made and Aboriginal business.
