Melbourne Hot History Pack

1894 Tea Towel:
Melbourne, 1894: the city had become one of the largest in the world, rivalling New York and London in size and wealth. The Gold Rush of the 1850s set this growth in motion and by the 1880s, Melbourne’s population had doubled its population in just 10 years. The city was booming!
Alas, this boom was to come to an end and by 1894, Melbourne was in the midst of an economic depression. But thanks to its rapid growth, the city had a shiny new network of roads, railways and services.
This map tells the story of Melbourne on the rise and fall: a city that always bounces back no matter what challenges it faces along the way. We love this city!
You’ll find your linen tea towel quite stiff at first. This is what makes it great for printing. It will soften after a few washes, and it may shrink a little. Linen’s absorbency improves over time. Best of all, it doesn’t leave pills on your glassware or cutlery! Designed by Michael Brady for Melbournalia.
For best results, wash your tea towel in a cold cycle on your machine with other similar coloured items. It’ll wrinkle in the wash, so gently pull it back in to shape before hanging it to dry on the clothesline. Iron on the reverse side of the print with a warm iron. Don’t tumble dry or dry clean.
Material: 100% European Linen, screen printed in Melbourne, Australia

We offer both Australia wide delivery and in-store pickup for corporate orders. Local delivery is free for Melbourne CBD corporate orders over $120.

Please view lead times for an estimate on when your order will be ready for delivery.

If you plan on sending your gifts overseas please research local customs and regulations for the country you are sending to and ensure the items comply. Some countries and states within Australia have restrictions on food and other consumables.

Due to the small-batch nature of most of our products we require a minimum 3 weeks lead time for large corporate orders. The sooner you can let us know your requirements the better, then we can ensure both our clients and our suppliers are happy.

Where possible, we will deliver sooner than estimated, however being reliant on the availability from our suppliers, this isn't always possible.

If you need your gifts in a hurry, please get in touch and we will do our best to work something out.

Most corporate gift orders over $50 in value come packaged in Melbournaliar gift boxes tied with ribbon. Items inside are wrapped in Melbournalia tissue with padding when required. Boxes can be personalised, for an additional fee, with a sticker featuring your company's own logo for orders over 100. We do require a minimum 3 weeks notice for this option.

Smaller packs come in recycled Kraft gift bags, however boxes can be purchased at an additional cost.

If you require alternative packaging get in touch and we will do our best to work something out.
