These cards feature photography by Angus O'Callaghan, who began photographing the streets of Melbourne in 1969 and did so in relative anonymity for several years. He continued to work as a school teacher and his photography was largely unnoticed for forty years. It wasn't until recently when largely through word of mouth his photographs were launched into the secondary art market to great success.
The catalyst for this success was O'Callaghan's second wife discovering his negatives in a shoebox!
Into his nineties, O'Callaghan enjoyed the recognition he would have liked forty years prior - but you can't have everything!
