Angus O'Callaghan is a true-blue Melbournian who spent his working life as a teacher and street photographer with. Beginning in the late 60s, O'Callaghan photographed the streets of Melbourne in anonymity, and with virtually no contemporary recognition. This all changed when his second wife discovered a trove of negatives in a shoebox! The vibrancy of O'Callaghan's portraits and streetscapes comes alive even in a format as understated as a greeting card.
O'Callaghan is now in his nineties and enjoying the recognition he would have liked forty years ago - 'but you can't have everything'!
